I am a graphic designer and teacher. I was born in Germany and have been based in Paris for 20 years.
I studied Art History at the University of Cologne (1983-1987) and I graduated in Visual Communication from the Gesamthochschule Essen (Folkwang Hochschule) in 1994.
During my long-term collaboration with the Atelier de création graphique / Pierre Bernard (1995-2008), I mainly worked with cultural institutions including the Centre Pompidou / Paris, Maison européenne de la photographie, Musée du Louvre / Paris, Musée du Quai Branly, Stedelijk Museum / Amsterdam, Centre national de la cinématographie, Éditions du patrimoine, Goethe Institut, Parcs nationaux de France and the Parc de la Villette.
I am passionate for books and book design. I provide creative project solutions for museums, galleries, editors and institutions such as Bibliothèque nationale de France and the ministère de la Culture.
I create visual identities for both cultural institutions such as ENSA Limoges and the Abbaye aux Dames / Saintes and industrial companies including the German organic food manufacturer Tofutown. As graphic designer for Tofutown between 1991-2013, I was responsible for the corporate identity, creation and successful development (adaption to company expansion in American and Asian markets and international marketing trends) of the visual identities of the 3 Tofutown product lines (Viana, Veggie Life et Soyatoo!).
Since 2002, I have been teaching graphic design in French art and design schools.
My design practice continues to thrive and grow due to my unique capacity to creatively connect and construct cross-cultural solutions to a wide range of design challenges.
I speak fluently German, French and English.
